Dear friends,
It is with great sadness that these words are written.
Jo died at home early in the evening of 1 February 2022, with Simon beside her.
Along with this sadness is tremendous awe and gratitude for having known our beautiful, intelligent, inspirational, incomparable Jo, and an unfathomable love for her. We surround Simon, Ben and Lachy (Bubba), and Julia and Jackie, with that same love. We surround each other with it, too.
The world has lost one of its greatest gifts.

Brilliant Jo, who was the most intelligent woman we have ever known. Vivacious Jo, who was a force for good and a champion for our earth. Beautiful Jo, with calm, soulful blue eyes. Witty Jo, with a brilliant and sparkling sense of humour. Insatiably curious Jo, who had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge.
Partner-and-mum Jo, who adored her life partner Simon and approached motherhood with fierce and inspirational joy.
As Jo was so fond of saying over the last few weeks: be kind.
Be kind to yourselves, to all who love this incredible human, and to our world.
